Can you help?
This precious girl came into Rescue just before Christmas.
Though she's still being evaluated, she has shown
herself to be a very sweet and loving girl who loves to cuddle
and give kisses. She's being treated for generalized Demodex
and subsequent skin infections from it. She's so very gentle and
trusting despite what she's obviously been through.
There are so many dogues who are waiting for their Forever
Homes, waiting for their own family to love.
If you are interested in adopting, becoming a Foster home,
helping with transport, or can make a donation toward their
medical care, please contact us and we will relay the information to
the appropriate people in the Breed Rescue organization.
Thank you for your support.

Myrah
Update 1-31-07
Myrah's been here since December 19th and she's doing so
well! She's a very sweet girl who loves to be near you,
she's getting along with our other dogues and is just the
happiest soul! When she first came into rescue she weighed a
mere 87 lbs with no muscle tone from lack of exercise.
She's now at 107 lbs, gaining slowly, and is looking
wonderful! Her hair is starting to grow back in from the
demodex and we're just as pleased as we can be for her!

Room In
Your Heart
Sorrow fills a barren space;
you close your eyes and see my face
and think of time I made you laugh
the love we shard, the bond we had,
the special way I needed you -
the friendship shared by just we two.
The day's too quiet, the
world seems older,
the wind blows now a little colder.
You gaze into the empty air
and look for me, but I'm not there -
I'm in heaven and I watch you,
and I see the world around you too.
I see little souls wearing
fur,
souls who bark and souls who purr
born unwanted and unloved -
I see all this and more above -
I watch them suffer, I see them cry,
I see them lost, I watch them die.
I see unwanted thousands born -
and when they die, nobody mourns
These little souls wearing
fur
(some who bark and some who purr)
are castaways who - unlike me -
will never know love or security.
A few short months they starve and roam,
Or caged in shelters - nobody takes home.
They're special too (furballs of pleasure)
filled with love and each one, a treasure.
My pain and suffering
came to an end,
so don't cry for me, my person, my friend.
But think of the living -
those souls with fur
(some who bark and some who purr) -
And though our bond can't be broken apart,
make room for another in your home
and your heart.

| If you are looking
for a pet, we would like you to also consider adopting a rescue.
These dogues are so loving and need someone to love them back. We
are a foster home, and absolutely love it. The first
rescue dogue we got in to foster won our hearts immediately and we
couldn't bear to let her go! We adopted Jamie and she is such a
treasure, we love her dearly. Besides, I think she has a
thing for our Golden Retriever! She has adjusted well into our
family of dogs. We also have another which we're have adopted, his name is Chance, and once again, he's wiggled his way into
our hearts. |

Sweet Jamie is
now 8 years old,
she's been with us for 4 years |

Here's Handsome
Chance-um, 4 years old already! |

We have
adopted Ben! Ben is a big teddy bear, a very loving and
gentle soul. Ben has been with us for quite a while in
foster. Due to his age, (which we're guessing he's 5
years or more), minor thyroid issues, and the fact that
he's attached himself to us and our dogues, and we to
him, we've adopted him! We're so very happy to have
sweet Ben as a part of our family. |

No matter
what the age, these dogues can bond and settle in as
quickly as a pup. If you're looking for a
companion please consider adopting a Rescue.
